Incident 188, April 8

A man suffered serious injuries when the car he was driving was involved in a collision at Harbury yesterday afternoon, Thursday April 8.

The collision occurred at about 13.20hrs at the Bendigo Mitchell crossroads on the Fosse Way and involved a black Vauxhall Astra saloon and a white Scania lorry.

The driver of the Astra had to be released from his vehicle by fire crews and was taken to the University Hospital of Coventry and Warwickshire where he is in the intensive care unit. His condition is described as very poorly.

Police investigating the incident would like to hear from anyone who witnessed it or saw either vehicle before the collision occurred.

A man who was seriously injured when the car he was driving was involved in a collision at Harbury on Thursday afternoon (April 8)has died.

The collision occurred at about 13.20hrs at the Bendigo Mitchell crossroads on the Fosse Way and involved a black Vauxhall Astra saloon and a white Scania lorry.

The driver of the Astra was taken to the University Hospital of Coventry and Warwickshire where he died on Saturday as a result of his injuries.

The man's name will not be released until the formal identification process has been completed and all close relatives informed.

Police investigating the incident would like to hear from anyone who witnessed it or saw either vehicle before the collision occurred.
